Biomaterials and Bioinks Training - Advanced (BB 2101)

Description
The course Biomaterials and Bioinks Training - Basic is prerequisite to take this course

The purpose of this course is to ensure that team members are comfortable enough with bioink composition and use to close bioink sales, increase current bioink profits, and offer more effective pre- and post-sales support.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

• List the primary base materials comprising the major bioink families
• Explain the advantages of the various biomaterials for 3D cell culture and tissue engineering
applications based on their defining characteristics.
• List and define the CELLINK Biomaterial categories.
• List and explain the added value of the functionalized advanced bioinks in our product portfolio.
• Locate official documents (i.e. SDS) for each material and bioink.
• Reconstitute GelMA from the GelMA kit, explain the steps and their importance.
• Explain the effects of photocrosslinking on GelMA performance.
• Explain effects of ionic crosslinking on Alginate-based bioinks.
• Explain the various reconstitution biochemistries of the following biomaterial classes:
o GelMA
o CELLINK Bioink
o Collagen
• Explain the benefits of thickeners, and namely the properties of xanthan gum and how it exerts its
effect.
• Describe how collagen reconstitution is achieved and explain the importance of pH and neutralization.
• Explain the effect of temperature dependence on the bioinks in our portfolio.
• Explain the effect of structural geometry on the bioinks (i.e. which bioinks are more structurally
favorable) in our portfolio and the tradeoff in bioprinting between structure and function
